The course
A flat airfield outside George was moved, shaped and grassed into a genuine inland links — 700,000 cubic metres of earth turned into dunes, hollows and revetted bunkers.
It hosted the 2003 Presidents Cup, the one Tiger Woods and Ernie Els halved in the dark, and it remains the highest-ranked course on the continent. Windy, firm, running, and utterly unlike anywhere else in Africa.

Wildlife
Fynbos birdlife and the Outeniqua mountains as a backdrop; whales along the coast at Mossel Bay and Hermanus in season.
