The course

Pezula sits on the eastern head above Knysna, on a plateau of indigenous fynbos and milkwood between the lagoon and the ocean. Every hole has a view and several have a cliff.

It is not the longest card you will play on the Garden Route, but the wind off the sea and the forced carries across ravines make it a genuine test — and the closing stretch along the cliffs is unforgettable.

Signature hole

16th — played along the cliff edge with the Indian Ocean 150 metres below

Wildlife

Fynbos birdlife, dolphins in the bay below, and southern right whales offshore between June and November.

Reviews

What our golfers said

Spectacular. We saw whales from the tee box on the back nine. Not the toughest course of the trip but easily the most beautiful.

The cliff holes are worth the green fee alone. Wind makes club selection a guessing game — bring extra balls.
Neil B.Newcastle · Garden Route, March
Stunning setting and friendly staff. Play early before the breeze picks up off the ocean.
