The course

Where the Gary Player Country Club is lush championship parkland, Lost City is scrub, rock and desert waste — the same designer, a completely different examination.

Everybody comes for the 13th. A short par 3, a green guarded by a pit shaped like Africa, and thirty-eight crocodiles in it. Hit the green and you will talk about it for years; miss it and you will talk about it longer.

Signature hole

13th — a par 3 over a crocodile-filled hazard shaped like the African continent

Wildlife

The famous crocodile hazard on 13, plus warthog, monkeys and abundant birdlife across the estate; Pilanesberg's Big Five are 20 minutes away.

Reviews

What our golfers said

The 13th is worth the trip on its own. We all took two balls out of our bags before teeing off and there was a lot of laughing. Course is in great nick and the desert look is stunning.
Simon B.London · Sun City weekend, March
More forgiving than the Gary Player but far more dramatic to look at. Playing both in two days is the way to do Sun City.
Johan V.Pretoria · North West Experience, July
Take a cart, take sunscreen, and take a photo on 13. Great value round in a spectacular setting.
